Welcome Home

I’m so glad you’re here! Imagine us gathered around a cozy fireplace, wearing our comfiest PJs, with fuzzy slippers firmly in place – because this is a safe space to just be, together.

From NICU to Now: Our Journey of Healing

I’m Kari, a mom (mama, mommy, MOM, bruh) to three NICU warriors who are now a teenager and two young adults. I’m also the author of Just Breathe, Mama, a book I wrote years ago as part of my own healing journey through the challenges our family faced during our NICU stay and the years that followed. (Feel free to dive deeper into this journey in my blog!)

Preemie Parenting Connection

After the birth of my twin boys, I often felt overwhelmed—alone, scared, hopeful, and sometimes even hopeless. My goal is to be a support for you, whether you’re navigating the ups and downs of preemie parenting or supporting someone who is. While our stories may differ, the bond we share through this experience is one of sisterhood.

Thank you for visiting my site, created with love by my lifelong friend, Jennie L. Young—someone who has been with me since we were 11 years old and whom I truly couldn’t do life without.

So, grab your cocoa, coffee, or wine, and join me on this NICU journey. I’d love to connect with you, so please don’t hesitate to reach out through the “Let’s Connect” section.

Welcome home.

Just Breathe, Mama

You aren’t alone, and I never want you to feel as if you are. Let my book, Just Breathe, Mama, be your support while you are going through this chapter in your life. If you are a graduate of the NICU or a family member (this includes friends!) of a NICU baby, let this book take you through our journey – a journey that may not be as different from yours as you think. I’ve heard that this book makes a great gift for current NICU families, NICU graduates, and moms in general. You can purchase the book below.
